Plan your trip

New York City

Trip details:

We will be arriving in NYC on Tues. June 26 in the early-mid afternoon. We have hotel reservations at the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel near Times Square. We will be staying 3 nights and checking out Fri. June 29. We will be driving there so need overnight parking if you have any suggestions for safe but affordable parking. We are traveling with two adults and two children (ages 7 & 8). We have never been to NYC so would like to see several of the major attractions. We are an active family so don't mind walking but are also open to taking the subway when needed, but again we have never rode the subway in NYC so any suggestions on how to navigate this would be great, mayben even the subway station we need to go to get to certain attractions. We would like to make this budget friendly but are willing to spend to see major attractions. Thanks!

Looks good. I may have more questions as I look at things more but this is a great help. Were you able to find any overnight parking options for cheap?

Rochelle B. wrote:

It looks like the parking for a sedan at your hotel is around $40 per day. The only garage I found closeby, cheaper than that is $100 total, a savings of $20. Parking .3 miles from hotel

Rochelle B. wrote:

This garage is a 5 minute walk to the hotel and does not allow in and out entry but does allow you to enter your car during business hours.

Getting Around:

Cheapest options:

Subway (use Google Maps app. It gives step by step instructions as far as directions to the nearest station and which trains to take, transfers and it will tell you the cost of taking Uber, a taxi, or another option.)

Juno, Uber, Lyft
