Relaxed trip to Cabo, Mexico

Trip details:

Looking for some adventure and relaxation. We land in SJD airport on the 14th eve at 5pm. and take off from SJD on 17th eve at 5pm.
By we I mean me & my husband.

Itinerary:

Cabo San Lucas, commonly called Cabo, is a city at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Cabo San Lucas together with San José del Cabo is known as Los Cabos. Cabo has been rated as one of Mexico's top 5 tourist destinations.

Cabo is known for its beaches, scuba diving locations, the sea arch El Arco de Cabo San Lucas, nightlife and marine life. There are numerous resorts and timeshares along the coast between Cabo San Lucas and San José Del Cabo.

You'll find crashing waves off Cabo's Pacific coast and sheltered, calm water on the Sea of Cortez. Given those options, Cabo has built a rare reputation for both excellent outdoor sports (big-game fishing, diving and kayaking, among others) and pure beach relaxation. To add to these, the nightlife is also great.

I have included an indicative map of Cabo below for your reference. There are separate maps for each activity or facility uploaded in the files section.

Since you would like to take part in some adventure filled activities and to relax a bit, I have crafted your itinerary (see below) with these points in mind. Hi Sangita!!!

Thank you for choosing me to be your Travel Ninja. I look forward to planning your trip with you.

Before we get started, can you please answer some of my questions below?

1) What help do you need from me exactly? Only accommodation and activities or even transfers, tours, options for nightlife, restaurants, etc as well? Please let me know your preferences and restrictions, if any.

2) Do you want me to plan it down to the T or keep it flexible? Eg- Maybe plan the first half of the day and keep options open for the second?

3) You don't need to know how to swim for most of the water activities, however, if you have a fear of water/drowning, claustrophobia, certain medical ailments; it may preclude you from diving. But you can still engage in other water activities and sports. Let me know what interests you most.

4) What kind of accommodation are you looking for? Hotel (what * rating), B&B, etc?

5) Budget? If not fixed, then a range?

6) Anything else you can think of to tell me?

Cheers,

Stacy

SG: I have accomodation & car reserved. I just dont have the hotel name handy. But i am looking for activities, tours, nightlife, restuarants. I am a vegetarian so would be nice that in consideration.

2) Do you want me to plan it down to the T or keep it flexible? Eg- Maybe plan the first half of the day and keep options open for the second?

SG: I would like for you to be able to plan the whole day out. So that I can pick most of it if not all from there.

3) You don't need to know how to swim for most of the water activities, however, if you have a fear of water/drowning, claustrophobia, certain medical ailments; it may preclude you from diving. But you can still engage in other water activities and sports. Let me know what interests you most.

SG: absolutely no fears at all. So Happy to try any or all. So please suggest a few activities, and also if there is a specific company i need to book through if you can provide me a link that will be helpful.

4) What kind of accommodation are you looking for? Hotel (what * rating), B&B, etc?

I have already booked this in a resort near the beach.

5) Budget? If not fixed, then a range?

SG: no specific budget. Would like to keep it low than spending lavishly. But if its totally worth it i am open to it.

6) Anything else you can think of to tell me?

SG: i think i have covered the requirements mostly above. Cant think of any thing more at this point.

Thanks,

Sangita

Dear Sangita,

Thanks for the information. When you have the name of the resort, please do share it with me so that I can plan accordingly. The car is a self drive? You have it throughout or only for the airport transfer? I'm assuming you'll need taxis if you want to consume alcohol at any point?

I'll provide you with sample day itineraries, a list of watersport/adventure companies, restaurants, activities, nightclub/bars/etc and whatever else you may need with the distance to your resort, timings, prices, etc. I'll also plot it on maps for you and send it to you in files you can either download or printout if required.

Please allow me some time to compile everything. Maybe by tomorrow evening/day after in the morning?

Thanks,

Stacy

It is self drive car. And yes we ll either use taxis or public transit to travel in case consuming alcohol.

Above is the address to the hotel (temporary accomodation) I do not have the final one from my company as yet.  bu you could base it off from this address.

Sure. U can send me in passes as well whichever works for you.

I've started uploading files. I'll let you know when I'm done.

Stacy Vaz wrote:

Dear Sangita, I've uploaded a skeletal itinerary as a file and in the itinerary section. So you can plan how to divide your day. On the 15th, my recommendation is to do a dive & snorkel. On the 16th I would recommend doing the camel safari and then a cruise or you could spend the afternoon sailing/fishing.

I have contacted some of these adventure companies that organise these and will upload the details when i get their responses so you can make a final call.

Thanks, Stacy

Dear Sangita,

After doing a lot of research and checking with different companies, I think Cabo Adventures is one of the best companies to do your tours from. They are rated highly for all their activities, they prices are reasonable. They have multiple timing options. The bookings should be done online.

Please check out the file uploaded for Cabo Adventures. Please see the website and descriptions for each activity. Once you make the decision, we can amend your itinerary on the basis of those activities that you plan to do.

Please do let me know,

Thanks,

Stacy

I would like to do the following:

1. Sky diving - not on ur list but it is available.

2. Whale shark snorkeling / Only snorkeling

3. sunset sailing

4. One cruise that you can suggest.

Stacy Vaz wrote:

Dear Sangita,

With regards to Skydiving, I'm not sure about it, to be honest. I found just one company that had good reviews but their website is down, they did not respond to my email and they did not answer the phone when I called. Considering the risk factor involved (also you should enjoy a tandem jump and not be skeeved off by whoever is strapped to you) I am not sure if you should do it in Cabo. However I can add the company details, their address and telephone number and you can check them out when you go to see if you are comfortable.

2. Whale Shark / Snorkeling: check out the links below. You can then decide on which one you'd like to do.

3. & 4. Sunset Sailing (It is a cruise with food and alcohol) However, if by cruise you mean a party cruise, then there are plenty of those as well. I can look for options and load them in some time.

Thanks,

Stacy
